Assuming otherwise meant I missed some of his initial set Saturday. Go figure. When Dylan and Paul Simon toured together they took turns opening, and maybe Richard and Lucy have a similar arrangement. (And yes, some of us do write professionally because we can't get a real job -- and Rolling Stone is still dog poop.) :-) - - Greg > hello ebeybody... > > Thanks for the really cool and very detailed reports I have been receiving > from practically each and every stop on the tour. I've seen RS and LK co-billed many times. But each time, they did pretty much equal-length sets, so it was really just a coin-flip as to who actually came out first. Perhaps Richard and Lucy are doing that? When Lucy and Richard play together it's a co-bill, they're friends, not a main act and an opener so they take turns with who goes first just like when Lucy plays with Christine Lavin or whoever else. I've seen them before where Lucy has gone first and vice versa. I wouldn't necessarily say one of them is "bigger" than the other. Richard's had a few more breaks and press mostly thanks to Joan Baez but besides that I'd put them at about the same level (amount of tickets sold, price of tickets, their guarantee (though I'm sure Richard's has gone up due to the flying from Argentina), etc. are all about the same). BTW Lucy actually tours more than Richard, with shows almost every weekend and has another new cd coming out in March as well. Busy with Molly yes, but I'd hardly say she's too busy to record/tour...she's still doing both. - -K _________________________________________________________________ Stay in touch with old friends and meet new ones with Windows Live Spaces http://clk.atdmt.com/MSN/go/msnnkwsp0070000001msn/direct/01/?href=http://spaces.live.com/spacesapi.aspx?wx_action=create&wx_url=/friends.aspx&mkt=en-us ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 17 Nov 2006 03:17:33 -0500 From: "Kevin Bohrer" Subject: [RS] 2 Extra Tickets for Thursday @ World Cafe As it turns out I now have 2 extra tickets for Thursday night's show at the World Cafi in Philadelphia. Someone backed out at the last minute. The tickets are for Table 205 Seats 3&4. You can see the seating chart here: http://tickets.worldcafelive.com/ordertickets.asp?p=2536&backurl=default.asp If you are interested, the tickets were $24 each (and they are $29 at the door) but I'll take $40 for the pair and I can meet you outside prior to the show to exchange. Showtime is 7:30pm and we usually get there between 6:00pm and 6:30pm to have dinner beforehand although I can meet you out front anytime up until the show starts.
