But after taking a plane and then a train, said he couldn't find anyone to SHOW ME anything. First, we brought two Shindell newbies to the show, and now they are converts. I don't know if they're to the point where they will be Googling locations of Hazel's House or writing Shindell trivia quizzes quite yet, but they thoroughly enjoyed the show, and have vowed to see Richard again. Second, it's always nice to see familiar faces at the shows, and to finally attach faces to names. I can't believe it took this long to meet Bart in person, but I was glad I did, and it was good to see Janet and Greg as well. Finally, and I apologize if I missed someone else pointing this out during this period of archive sporadicism, but Richard announced that the covers CD would be out in MARCH! 2007, I hope. So those of you (Jim) who had Christmas in the 'release date' pool, you lose. Well, I guess there will be that many more potential songs to cover by then. Imagine how long the wait would be if he'd had to actually, you know, WRITE any songs for the record. Anything to torture us poor deprived midwesterners, huh? Actually, I'm not originally from KC, .....and my ancestors hail from New Jersey. Hah! For all anyone knows I may be related to Richard. Now wouldn't that stick in your craw! It seems to me I saw the name Shindell in the Van Zandt cemetery in Blawenburg NJ. Maybe....but maybe not. Chris!!! thanks so much for the video. couldn't make the shows here in nyc. my husband is a guitar player and it was cool for him to see if he was on the right track for wisteria, etc., Ok though the gig is up. that shindell must be playing with some kind of track we dont see his fingers moving at all when hes picking it looks like he's strumming. maybe he has some kind of well disguised dubbing pedal in his shoe! he cant be that good! mary > > > - -- > sophisticated cinema by any means, and > suffers from a bit of over > exposure in some highlight areas, but i was seated very close and > managed generally to hold the camera > still. for his part, RS was magic. he announced that the martin he > was playing was brand new, and > clearly he was relishing the sound, as was the crowd. > > http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=rchristophe ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 15 Aug 2006 20:50:16 -0400 From: "Joe Lanzalotto" Subject: RE: [RS] Time Marches On This is a bit like waiting for the Dead to tune up at a concert!
