He wasn't wearing a button but he was carrying a sign that asked, "Are you Janet?" Nice to see I was the only Janet in the whole joint! Nice to meet you Bart and good to see fellow listers Gene and Isabel and Greg who was sitting next to my sister. Excellent show! I know someone wrote the set list down so I'll leave them to post it. No, he didn't play "Calling the Moon" and yes he did play "Mavis" much to my daughter's annoyance. She had threatened to explode if he played it but thankfully she didn't. He did play a new song that was really beautiful. I think the name of it was "The Juggler in the Street", at least I think that's the name of it. I hope it doesn't fall by the wayside like another song I liked a few years ago. I've forgotton the name of it but for some reason it reminded me of ants! I think we've discussed it on the list but damned if I can remember one thing other than liking it alot. I like this new song alot too so hopefully we'll see it on a future album. Speaking of future albums, Richard did say the new covers album won't be out until March 2007 but didn't say why. He didn't talk a whole lot but the audience sure did! It was annoying to hear people trying to carry on a conversation with Richard from the stage! At the meet and greet, he graciously wished my niece a happy birthday and signed the Che shirt I had bought for her, which I received in plenty of time thanks to Scott. He even posed for a picture with her. It was a wonderful show at a very nice venue. Janet Tired of spam? Yahoo! How cool is that!! I wasn't aware camera phones had that capability. Guess it's time to trade up. Carrie in KC . I tried to capture some of the songs on my digital camera, but ran out of space rather quickly. Apologies for the shakey camera, but if you click this link, "Are You Happy Now?" should play: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6350483121730881111. (it's a huge pain uploading to that site). enjoy, friends. chris in colorado ------------------------------ End of shindell-list-digest V8 #135 ***********************************
