Was hoping to find one flying - -away- not forward, but maybe if it's small enough it will work.. c in kc > Here's a pic of a canary in flight: > > http://www.flickr.com/photos/amerpie/15382852/ > > --Sally in TP, MD > - -- No virus found in this outgoing message. I was actually thinking we could meet before the concert, but I didn't realize it started at 7:00. Do any of you guys work in the city? I was hoping to get down to the city at around 6:00. Maybe whoever is down there early can meet up before the concert for a quick drink, and then we'll know if the place looks promising for a post-concert gathering. It's not like I don't have a job or anything like that, but if we're going to truck into the city on a Wed night, we might as well make it worth our while. Bob, it sounds like Live Bait would be a good place to check out. And Dewey's Flatiron is nearby also, so we could always bar hop. Does anyone know of a cheap parking garage in the area? Here's my current list of who sounds like they'll make it: Me and my brother Chris Bob Michele Bonnie Unspecified number of Outpost in the Burbs folks. Carrie, at 6:59, just off the plane from JFK, and just in time with that box of buttons, with Canary flying toward, not away, but barely noticeable. Let me know if I'm missing anyone. By the way, Janet, would you be interested in coming if we choose more of a restaurant type place with a bar area, rather than an actual bar? Or would it just not work out because you have kids with you? Anyway, let us all know - I'm sure everyone would be willing to accommodate you if we can. OK, this sounds like it's going to be good. I don't know what clothes I'll be wearing yet, but I'll post it when I do. Any other NY listers going to be at the concert that we could talk into meeting us for a beer. I think I saw that John McD and Jamie are going to be in Ireland - that's too bad. I'm not sure they would have gone anyway, though, after the last time I partied with them after a Richard show! Let's just say I was out of practice, and got a little carried away. What about Gene and Isabelle, and RockinRonD? I guess we still have two possible places where we can meet. Michele, would you mind meeting at Live Bait, and keeping Dewey's Flatiron as a backup/bar-hop-destination? Greg S. - --------------------------------- See the all-new, redesigned Yahoo.com. Don't change them on my account. I'll talk to my "crew" but I don't think we'll be able to make it anyway. My sister roped me into going to this Rachel Ray show so I roped her into seeing Richard in the park! I figured we'll be in the city anyway, so why not? I'm hoping to be at the park by six and have dinner at that Burger Shack someone mentioned. Sounds like it's good food there. I hope that if any of you see me, you would say hello to me so I don't feel so foolish wearing my button. I'm going to wear a Dave Carter button too while I'm at it, if I can find it, that is. So, please say hello or wear a button too so I'll know you're on the list too. Keep looking for that picture Carrie, it sounds like it will really be great! Janet Get on board. Reserved seating in an air conditioned theater around the corner from my favorite Thai restaurant was too good a scenario to pass up. Besides, we will be bringing a couple of Shindell newbies, one of whom is a co-worker at my office in Commack. By the way, Friday's show will be less than a month before our 25th anniversary, so what better time to finally hear 'The Weather' performed live? I know that's pretty much a non sequitur, but I have to keep trying. Gene F. (who doesn't need a button to be identified at the Friday show. Just look for the guy with the grey hair, glasses, and big blue cast on his left arm) ------------------------------ End of shindell-list-digest V8 #130 ***********************************
