BTW, if I did, would that catapult me into the pantheon of RS die-hards?? Probably not--who was it who convinced some friends to move their wedding date based on an RS show?? Now THAT's a fan. I have to content myself with the gig at the Concert Hall, the tickets for which, I have to say, were a little steep. Anyone familiar with the venue?? I feel certain, however, that when I return to these shores on 8/19, the new CD will have been released. Any day now..... I don't know anything about the venue though. The "One Million Lawyers Guy"??!! I can take a joke, but could he be less original? What's his next target, corporate greed, titled "Talkin' Corporate Greed Blues"? Yeesh. He's like something from "A Mighty Wind." Now I feel like I've overpaid. Had I known he was on the bill, buying a ticket would have been the last thing on MY mind. In this co-bill situation, who's going first? I hope it's RS so I can leave early. Do they have a bar there? Tom Paxton is also the same guy who wrote Last Thing on My Mind, covered by a little known folk group called Cry Cry Cry. I saw Tom with Dar and someone else at a workshop at FRFF a few years ago. He was quite good. Norman ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 31 Jul 2006 16:15:24 -0700 (PDT) From: Janet Cinelli Subject: Re: [RS] Re: RS NYC Shows Wow! I didn't expect such a strong reaction to Tom Paxton. I was at work and rushing so I didn't have time to add that I reecently saw him in concert and he was fantastic! I don't remember hearing him crack any lawyer jokes either. What's the deal John? Why so hostile? Janet - --- John McDonnell wrote: > Hi All, > Aww Jesus, Tom Paxton???
