Does anyone know when to expect the new CD? At a concert I went to Richard said late May. I just checked and it turns out we're in July now. Anyone got any inside info on release date? Well, since he was looking for Eliza per our previous discussion it probably isn't going to be real soon. Re Eliza, I got to thinking....she has recorded several songs in Spanish. I wonder if Richard is adding a Spanish song to the list and is looking for someone who could do backup harmony in Spanish??? Just a thought. carrie in kc > Does anyone know when to expect the new CD? - -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition. I was up front with the cameras, trying not to be too obnoxious while freelancing for Rolling Stone. Charlie has appointed me the official un-credentialed photographer for the series. Pete is indeed very good. Played 'Flying an Unknown Flag' for my parents and they liked it too. RICHARD DO NOT READ THIS NEXT SENTENCE. Mum thought RS was ..."morbid". I played 'Vuelta' on the way to a funeral, you know SSW. True. Oh, RockinRonD was there with James O'Malley. I know this will sound dumb and I'm not too weird, really. But at the Fairport Show I asked a woman, "Hi, I'm not trying to get into your cookies or anything but, are you Janet?" She said, "No." Well, I guess I'll just keep asking 'till one day you will say, "Yes, I am Janet." Maybe we all should get a small tattoo or piercing, or adopt a silly walk when entering, leaving or heading to the bathroom at a concert. Since I'm saving all my tattoo space for something really important (this is just kind of important) and I'm not sure about extra holes, I vote for a silly walk. Bart - ------ Janet asked: From: Janet Cinelli Okay, I know I'm pretty late coming into this discussion, especially since it's died off but I recently discovered a singer named Pete Morton. I saw him at the New Bedford Summerfest, a place where I first saw Richard years ago. I'm getting the same feeling about Pete. I listened to his words, his music and got hooked. I saw him again this past weekend at Stony Brook here in Long Island. (Bart were you there?) and he is just amazing. He's from England so I don't know how often he gets over to this side of the ocean but I highly recommend him. His latest cd is called "Flying an Unknown Flag" and each song is a winner. I especially like "The Busker's Song" and "Another Train." Here's his website: www.petemorton.com check him out! I'll have to find a way to right the wrong. In the meanwhile, I'll add this info for the record. 'Another Train' lyrics are by Pete Morton, though the tune has been covered by countless others. I first heard it on the Poozies' album 'Chantoozies', and so thought it was theirs. For me, their version is still the definitive :-). here's the Poozies site, (or closest thing), because they're also well worth listening to! http://www.footstompin.com/artists/poozies and here are the lyrics to an amazing song, (no matter who's singing): ANOTHER TRAIN (ONE BIG JOKE - track 6) Words and music - Pete Morton [TABLE NOT SHOWN] happy Summer to all, Lea G (seriously hoping to make FRFF Sunday this year) ------------------------------ End of shindell-list-digest V8 #110 ***********************************
