He would only say that they are truly great artists and that this will be the best, most complex recorded album he has ever done. I know my curiosity is piqued. I have not heard him sing > the song > or talk about it. It's much more in the feel of Bruce's original take on the song - also the way he's revisited it live in recent tours - not the BITUSA album version. It was certainly okay but not one of my personal favorite covers I've ever heard him do. Overall I thought the cover choices he was doing worked very well. Aside from just it being a new album, which is certainly cool and reason to be excited, I'm interested in hearing how Greg Anderson has produced it. I've sometimes found Larry Campbell (awesome musical talent aside) can be a little heavy-handed on production for my personal tastes (which admittedly lean toward a leaner, more acoustic sound) and Greg's done some nice work that falls under that description. Good guy, too. If you ever have the chance to hear him and Sara Milonovich playing together, they do a beautiful version of Reunion Hill. - -jim ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 3 May 2006 10:18:55 EDT From: Imperialpints4@aol.com Subject: [RS] Re: shindell-list-digest V8 #67 Just a heads up in case you don't know....but Richard will be performing at The Boulton Center in Bay Shore NY. My best friend books the shows there and 3 months ago she had asked me who I thought would be great to have. I told her Richard would be great for that place. So, then she tells me that she got him to perform there. The tickets went on sale today and you should hurry this place only seats about 320 people. It is a great place to see a show...... Finally first row seats.....I can't wait.... The website is _www.boultoncenter.org_ (http://www.boultoncenter.org) . Have a great day... ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 3 May 2006 07:54:05 -0700 (PDT) From: Janet Cinelli Subject: [RS] Boulton Center - --- Imperialpints4@aol.com wrote: > Just a heads up in case you don't know....but > Richard will be performing at > The Boulton Center in Bay Shore NY. Just a head's up, you should tell your friend they mispelled his name on the page where you buy tickets! Also, I have to agree with Jim. I've seen Greg Anderson and Sara Milonovich play together. Their version of Reunion Hill is very moving. Reunion Hill always reminds me of driving to Pennsylvania. The exit on the New Jersey Turnpike to the Penn Turnpike always has these hawks circling around. They're there everytime I've made that right to Pennsylvania! And of course I start humming it!
