Hey John, Dont know if you ever got a response to your post about "Fleur-de-Lis" but since it seems like the list is dying again, I'll give you my 2 cents, for what it's worth. To me this song is about images and emotions. It takes me to a place that doesn't exist, except in song and I see the images flash through my mind, kind of like a slide show. I don't understand the line "a billion blue eggs of eternity" except maybe if the man in the song became a witch he would populate the world and give everyone eternal life. As far as emotions, I always feel happy hearing this one, thinking of make-believe worlds and things that can never be. It's not much of an interpretation, I know but that's all I have. Regarding "Mavis" I like Sally's interpretation of it. I too see it as a painting and if I were an artist, I would attempt to sketch it. Janet Tired of spam? Yahoo!
