Jim Colbert said, Me too... And Adam said... Like John, I prefer my RS solo though I think Richard does a much better job with other muscians than most in his musical genre. (I prefer him solo but the muscians on SNP and Vuelta worked very well.) A lot of folk-singers/singer-songwriters I like, I feel, ruin their music on album with bland overproduction. - ---- Yes. Richard's solo performance at The Brokerage on October 29, 2003 was outstanding. He was introducing the Vuelta songs (pre-release) and played the Lowden, now caressed by Beth - you lucky doll. So I can certainly see how many prefer him on his own, and I do too according to the venue. But I really like RS with the band. John Putnam, Lincoln, and Denny. I've said it before, and I mean it - not being 'funny' or cynical...The take of 'Confession' on "The Sonora Sessions" could crossover and be played on Rock & Roll radio. Certainly on the "progressive" commercial station (WEHM 92.9) we have here on the east end of Long Island. And his April 11, 2003 IMAC show with Lucy, John Putnam and Byron Issacs was one of the best I have seen. Flicks Lighter...FOLK ON!
