Johnny Coppin is a stalwart of the British folk scene. The pace of Johnny's 'take' on the song falls somewhere between Richard's two recorded versions but is faithful to the arrangement (in fact I suspect he may have learnt it from the Baez version) If anyone is curious here's the url for the show which is available for the next week only. The song starts about 12 minutes in... http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/networks/radio2/aod.shtml?radio2/mikeh It's immediately followed by a long interview with Kate Rusby who explains why she's not likely to be touring over in the States anytime soon (flying phobia) cheers, Gerry Tired of spam? I enjoyed Johnny's version of Reunion Hill, and the program in general. I couldn't help thinking as I was listening, that 30 years from now some folk singer will still be performing that song - it had that classic, timeless sound to it. Just proves once again what an outstanding artist Richard is. Ron A ------------------------------ End of shindell-list-digest V7 #198 ***********************************
