Sent this to my Congressman, Tim Bishop today via e-mail. It's easy if you use these links: You can locate your US Representative by zip code at the _www.house.gov_ (http://www.house.gov) web site, and find your Senators listed by state at the _www.senate.gov_ (http://www.senate.gov) web site. Re: Budget Vote Congressman Bishop, I support my local public radio station. Please vote against proposed funding cuts that will have a significant impact on our public radio and television stations, but would reduce federal spending by only one 100th of one percent of a two trillion dollar budget. Please vote to favor continued support for public radio and television. You're doing a fine job, Tim. This is not exactly pertaining to RS ... but ... I'm wondering if any of you would mind sharing with me (and the list, too) muscians' or bands' web sites that you think are cool. Tell me/us a little why you think they're cool sites. I'm helping a friend put together a web site for his band. I want to get some ideas by looking at other music-related sites. Not giving away the whole album but maybe a couple of live cuts. I'm much more likely to buy an album if I can hear a couple of cuts in their entirety first. - -Matt - --- Jean Walker - Gmail wrote: > Hello from lurkdom ... > > This is not exactly pertaining to RS ... but ... > > I'm wondering if any of you would mind sharing with > me (and the list, > too) muscians' or bands' web sites that you think > are cool. But also remember that not everyone has a computer with all the bells and whistles, so try to make sure fans have an easy way into the site. Nothing turns me off more than a site that says it needs some new version of Flash or something, and then I cannot view it. I'm trying to make my 5-year-old computer last another few months, or more, and the one at work does not allow automatic downloads of those kinds of software. I would guess that a lot of public libraries are operating with older computers, too.
