I downloaded the Richard tracks as well as the Pierce Pettis tracks (very good if he has fans here). A great source of music is that site. << Some of the old Lucy Kaplansky and Shawn Colvin stuff is great, too. My favorite Richard track is "May," with the "missing" verse. But wait, there's more... Signature Sounds recently issued a 10th Anniversary CD. It is a two-disc set, with the first being sort of a greatest hits sampler from their roster, and the second a disc of rarities and unreleased material. In a very cool move, they have made the songs on disc 2 available as individual tracks on iTunes. So, for 99 cents each, you can get lots of great stuff, including Richard's cover of 'Shades of Black, Shades of Blue,' Dave and Tracy's 'You Must Slumber,' Mark Erelli's cover of 'Cryin,' plus tracks from Lori McKenna, Kris Delmhorst, Josh Ritter, Peter Mulvey and others. If you are an iTunes user, just go to the Music Store and put 'Signature Sounds' in the search box. Enjoy! Gene F. (who is hoping to see lots of list-folk at the Joe's Pub show on my birthday. I want to have plenty of witnesses when Richard plays 'The Weather,' otherwise Ron G., Susan and Pat won't believe me) ------------------------------ End of shindell-list-digest V7 #85 **********************************
