And you digest your food so much better knowing you already have a reserved seat close to the stage for Mr. Shindell. Talking from experience here. The sound was perfect, the food upstairs was decent and by eating at the restaurant we got nice seats held for us downstairs. You can also get food downstairs but the tables are kind of crowded for eating. I remember there was a family with two young boys in the front row next to Richard and the kids didn't eat much of their food so Richard kept joking about "You gonna finish that?". There are some bad places to sit. I was once there to see Susan Werner and my neck was stiff for days because of the angle I had to sit. Also, if it's a popular show, parking was an issue for me. Though, this was back in 2001. As for the 30 dollar price, it is a lot but I paid 25 for the 4/1 Shindell show. Yep, their costs should be lower, but I would rather pay more to see an artist in a small place than the prices you pay for large ones and either sit in the back or behind someone who has to (try to) sing every song, or yell for Stairway to Heaven! RS in Lawrence was $18 and a steal in my opinion. But that's the midwest.
