I would try to start a conversation about the top children's music albums of > all time. Bill, My kids(5 and 2 1/2 years old) love Somewhere Near Patterrson. The oldest calls You Stay Here "The Fire Song". For a while I was playing it every night to get them to sleep. I skip Confession and Waiting For The Storm, and they've never made it past Grocer's Broom. Another CD my kids love is Tim and Mollie O'Brien's Away Out on the Mountain. This definitely won't put them to sleep. I play it in the car for them, and if I play it in the house, they always start dancing around. They really love it, and it's one of my favorite CD's too. Tim played at the folk festival(in St. Louis I think) that Richard played at recently. Unfortunately, I missed it. I'd highly recommend that CD for both you and your kids, and if you like that one, I'd check out Tim's solo album Red on Blonde, a cover of Dylan songs. I know that Greg Brown has at least one CD of kids songs, but I've never heard it - anyone know if it's good?
