I definitely agree. When I contributed my "thoughts after hearing 'Vuelta' for the first time" post, I emphasized the abrupt end to "Che Guevara" as one of the only things I didn't like in the album. It just felt rushed and cut-off to me, and still feels that way. When performing live, Richard always continues playing for a few bars--sometimes for many bars--before closing the song, which I feel gives the audience a little time to swallow the song and really *feel* it. The "luna luna llena" echo makes that musical coda a little sweeter and prettier. I've seen this sentiment echoed independently a few times since then, so no, you're not alone in approving of the extended ending. (Sorry, can't help you with the "Hazel's House" chords...) - --Chris ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 06 Dec 2004 21:58:56 -0500 From: Lisa Davis - home Subject: Re: [RS] Good Parenting My kids probably O.D'd on Richard. The joke with my son (now 11) was that he probably was more familiar with Richard's voice than my husband's, having accompanied me in utero to 3 shows not to mention round-trip doses of Sparrow's Point for the last 7 months.
