Falcon Ridge, with the exception of the nearly six hours of constant rain on Friday, was great. Richard's performance of "America" was absolutely transcending! Picked up "Vuelta" and it is indeed a wonderful record. I'm puzzled, however, by the exclusion of verse four of "So Says The Whippoorwill"... I've always thought "Who would I be if I believed / Who am I if I don't" is one of the strongest, most powerful lyrics of the original version of the song. Richard seemed to be quite relaxed... he had a couple of lyric slips on main stage Saturday evening (had to make last-second glances to lyrics on a table (or stool), but nothing disastrous. I'l post his main stage setlist later from home... Pat ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the Internet in years - Juno SpeedBand! I'm puzzled, however, by the exclusion of verse four of "So Says The Whippoorwill"... << Yeah, I noticed that the "Father Brown" verse was missing, replaced by a half-verse of instrumental. Strange. Also, I noticed that several verses of an earlier version of "The Island" seem to be missing as well. The exclusions that strikes me as strangest are, interestingly, both Dave & Tracy related. Except for a little bit of violin on "Whippoorwill," there's seems to be no Tracy to be found on the entire record, not even in what I'd hoped would be a third harmony on "Last Fare." And also, I was very surprised by the lack of reference to Dave Carter in the liner notes, either as a dedication or indication that the last verse in "Whippoorwill" was about him. Need to spend a little more time with the record, though, to be able to give a more complete opinion on it.
