Unfortunately they are one of those American bands that see more success overseas than in their own country. jc ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 29 Apr 2004 09:08:48 -0400 (Eastern Standard Time) From: Chip Robertson Subject: [RS] Re: shindell-list-digest V6 #94 Alan, I have to agree with your recommendation of Rod Picott. He is a wonderful storyteller and a very cool, down to earth guy as well. I had the pleasure of opening up for Rod when he performed in Asbury Park, NJ last September and I became an instant fan. We have to spread the word, so Rod can get the recognition he truly deserves. Absolutely great but also watch out for Rod Picott www.rodpicott.com touring here is October time. Very much the story teller like RS but one who tells the story in person as well as the record. Hey folks, quick request/suggestion: if you get the digest version of the Shindell-list, and you're replying to a post, please change your subject line to better reflect the subject matter of your message. A subject line of "RE: shindell-list-digest V6 #90" doesn't give readers any idea as to what your message is about. Thanks! It seems to me Richard should have some open dates before or after the scheduled Chicago gig, and Kansas city is not that far.....and air fares are cheap...so c'mon Richard, add a new city to your schedule! Lawrence, KS. is a college town, and that would be fine too. How does that children's song go....? "IIIIII Weeiiiillllll never give up, I'll never give up................" Did you by any chance get a recording of Rod's or your performance? I'm known on the rod list as the official bootlegger as I do as many if not all the shows over here. Since I usually hit the U.S. twice a year it isn't that annoying for me though (and I'll see him at FRFF in July...). I can only support the plug for WGC - they're so much fun - Josh Ritter will be touring in Europe around June and the Paperboys are playing right now about 10 shows in Germany. It isn't all bad :) Reinhard - --On Donnerstag, 29.
