For anyone in the NYC area, I wanted to let you know that Lori McKenna -- for whom Richard sang harmony on her heartbreaking song "Never Die Young" -- will be making a rare local appearance on Tuesday, March 2nd, at the Fez Under Time cafe on Lafayette Street in Greenwich Village. Opening the show will be none other than Mark Erelli, who'll be doing a CD-release set featuring songs from his new release "Hillbilly Pilgrim." I believe that both Lori and Mark will have full bands for this show -- as well as doing some songs together -- so hopefully we'll see some of you there. I HIGHLY recommend that anyone nearby enough to get to this show goes!! Lori is even more amazing live than on her cds (if that's possible!) You will not regret seeing her, and Mark Erelli is pretty great too :) - -K >From: Rongrittz@aol.com >Reply-To: shindell-list@smoe.org >To: shindell-list@smoe.org >Subject: [RS] Lori McKenna in NYC. >Date: Thu, 19 Feb 2004 09:58:14 -0500 > >For anyone in the NYC area, I wanted to let you know that Lori McKenna -- >for whom Richard sang harmony on her heartbreaking song "Never Die Young" >-- will be making a rare local appearance on Tuesday, March 2nd, at the Fez >Under Time cafe on Lafayette Street in Greenwich Village. Every time I do I get in trouble! It's a song from Reunion Hill that my husband Gene and I like alot. We used to request it every time we saw Richard, but it's become pretty obvious he's never going to play it. It's become a long-running joke among us old timers on the list.
