For Andrea Bocelli, I'd start off with "Romanza" as that's probably his most 
popular release. I work in the music department of our local Circuit City 
store and it's almost always out of stock.

Actually I was given gift certificates and "music money" and told to go 
shopping (I adore my family and friends). Being poverty-stricken, this is a 
wonderful rationale for buying music! And since I am so far behind on checking off 
items on my wish list, the recent acquisitions are both current and old (God 
Bless Used CD stores!):

- --Beth Orton "Pass in Time": just for the disc of B-sides alone. 

- --"Return of the Grievous Angel: A Tribute to Gram Parsons"--just for Gillian 
Welch's version of "Hickory Wind" alone 

- --Joni Mitchell "Both Sides Now"--ooh, she's doing the Billie Holiday thing. 
In more ways than one. 

- --A Cher greatest hits collection--because Man (ok--this man at least) can't 
live on bread alone. He also needs complex carbs and tons of sugah.

- --Sinead O'Connor--the newest one with the unendurably long title. Oh I do 
hope she is just being a diva and will be back singing amongst us again soon.

- --Aimee Mann :Lost in Space. Not quite as good as the last one, but still...

- --The Innocence Mission--"Beloved"--because after all that sugah, you need 
something for the crash.

Happy and Merry everyone. Now all I have to do is wait a couple of months for 
the birthday cash to come in....LOL!
