Does anyone know if Larry Campell is playing/producing on this one. I hope so. His production, I think, really added a fullness to Reunion Hill and Somewhere Near Patterson that was missing from the earlier records. I'm wondering if Lucy will be vocalizing on any of the songs on the new album. I hope so! Although, I know she must be very busy being a new mom! "Cancion Sencilla," although written entirely in Spanish, has a pretty straightforwardly folkie DADGAD-esque melody to it, except for one very weird-ass dissonant-sounding chord at the end of the chorus. However, the fact that all the musicans are from Buenos Aires -- and that they're using indigenous instruments -- may certainly indicate that the overall sound will take on a decidedly South American flavor. >> Does anyone know if Larry Campell is playing/producing on this one. I hope so. << Nope. Richard's producing this one himself. I'm a native nu yorkea from Loongg Island, and even went to school upstate, but didn't know this much about the Chautauqua region of my state. I've been there, and it truly is a beautiful area. Check out Pat Metheny's album, "New Chautauqua". It's a great Sunday morning listen, (before Backfish). Coffee on the deck, deer in the yard, the gray sky and Sound through the trees. Just food for thought for possible covers on the album.
