Since there are a lot of new people, I thought it might be fun during a non-touring period when the news is slow. Norman linked to a list of twenty songs that, according to the writer, should be made into movies. Well, since we're concerned with Richard Shindell here, let's take it a step further - pick a Shindell song, original or cover, then the actors who would play the lead roles in the film version. Feel free to choose one nobody has picked, or post your own choices if you disagree with those of another. I remember a discussion about 'Transit' where the casting of Sister Maria ranged from Rosalind Russell to Dana Delaney. Comments such as "You're kidding. No WAY Hilary Duff plays the widow in Reunion Hill" are acceptable, but please keep them within the bounds of decorum for which this list is famous. Ahem. I'll start: Nora: Narrator: Russell Crowe Nora: Jennifer Connelly Nora's Husband: Kevin Spacey Gene F. _________________________________________________________________ From the hottest toys to tips on keeping fit this winter, youll find a range of helpful holiday info here. http://special.msn.com/network/happyholidays.armx ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 25 Nov 2003 10:22:47 -0600 From: "kunigunda" Subject: [RS] Re: Redbird You can also listen to clips (Redbird) there in case you haven't found it already! http://www.younghunter.com/redbirdcd.html Carrie in KC. Iowa city happens to have arguably the best vegan/vegetarian indian restaurant on the planet. With an all-you-can-eat buffet!! It's called Masala - a vegan's dream when you're out in Pig country :-) - -Robyn ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 25 Nov 2003 10:31:52 -0600 From: "kunigunda" Subject: [RS] Re: clicked send too quick Sorry - I left a trail of old mail under my message. Of course, I think Nicole Kidman could play that title character, as well as almost any of the female leads :-). I could see Benecio Del Toro as the fisherman in "Fishing," with Tony Shalhoub as the interrogator. On another note, I heard Merle Haggard on the World Cafe today and he said that "Sing Me Back Home" was partly inspired by his friendship with death row inmate Caryl Chessman, who inspired The Hag to turn his life around.
