If you like Gillian .. youll like Kris.. << Wow, seems to me that if an artist ever pumps out the same CD over and over, it's Gillian Welch. In any case, if an artist makes the exact type of music I love, why wouldn't I WANT to hear CD after CD of that type of material? I have stopped liking artists when they've moved away from the style that drew me to them -- Paul Simon, Dan Fogelberg and Nanci Griffith come to mind immediately. I'm a fan of music, not musicians, and I don't blindly remain a fan of an artist just because I may have liked them at one point. That mini-rant aside, outside of instrumentation that occasionally skirts the fringes of bluegrass, I can't think of anything that would automatically make a Gillian Welch fan appreciate Kris Delmhorst.
