He did his own set, then played along with Jonathan Edwards the rest of the way. Indeed, he is a talented individual. I told him "you're very well thought of on the Shindell mailing list." He replied "thanks, that's good to hear." So kudos to Kenny White once again. Regarding the recent new album discussion, I'm on the same page with Ron "the gritz man." I hope that I Am will be on it. I guess many people on here heard Richard dedicate it to Tom Foley. Turns out some guys I work with knew and hung out occasionally with Tom, they were on a harbor cruise with him the Saturday before 9-11. They said he was quite a guy, very outgoing personality and a lot of fun. But then one also said sadly, "we were with him on Saturday, then watched him die on TV Tuesday." RIP Firefighter Tom Foley. Gray-Green really grabbed me, it is probably my favorite of the new material...don't know if it's the words, melody, music. I did grow up in a very loud neighborhood, 3 or 4 houses uphill from a stop sign, on a busy street. Every car, truck, motorcycle, etc. shifted from 1st gear to second right at our house, ugh. That song just flows so easily and peacefully, like a lullabye. Regards to all, Greg Z - --- "I'll put this cloud behind me, that's how the Man designed me I'm no stranger to the rain"... Hey all ... not sure why Musi-Cal isn't kept up to date by many artists anymore, but a quick look at the Fleming & Associates site shows a bunch of Richard fall dates that I haven't seen elsewhere. http://www.flemingartists.com/sh-itin.html RG ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 18 Aug 2003 21:33:46 -0400 From: "Gene Frey" Subject: [RS] Well, at least I'll avoid running into Blair and Tootie Hey you guys, I got a letter today from the Paramount Center For The Arts in beautiful Peekskill, NY, stating that the Nov. 1 Lucy/Richard split bill "has been cancelled by one of the artists due to personal reasons." The letter, which has a bit of a ticked-off tone to it, further states that "Both the promoters at Mainstage Entertainment Inc. and the staff here at the Paramount were very much looking forward to this event. Unfortunately, neither party had any control over its cancellation." They are not happy. Anybody hear what's up? I know they are together in NYC the week before, and neither has a show listed until a few days later. I will gladly accept any and all facts, rumors, conspiracy theories, and baseless innuendo you can come up with. Thank you.
