But after -- yikes -- 50 shows (The Knitting Factory will be #51 and #52, and YES, I'm a goddam stalker, want to make something of it?), I think I've just about heard it all. (I know, I know, Pat's gonna be a smart-ass and say "Oh yeah, you haven't heard "Che Guevara T-shirt" and all I'm gonna say is "Hey, pal, I have access to the big red uns*bscribe button, and I'm not afraid to use it on you.") Even Richard laughs at that one!<< The last time I saw Richard in Ann Arbor someone requested it . . . AND HE PLAYED IT!!! I was shocked to say the least, but then . . . it was one of those nights. He had just flown in from Buenos Aires (via New York), screwed up the first song of the night, screwed up the second song of the night, then decided to throw the set list out. He then proceeded to play "Hideous Grin" for the first time on stage (so he could hear it through a sound system), and played numerous requests rest of the show. Up until Tuesday night in Lansing, it was my favorite Richard show -- primarily because he was so loose and personable. Something to look forward to in April when I see him at the IMAC! Looking forward to April and Spring. Speaking of Spring, has he ever sang that song? That would be a very appropriate song to sing here in the east! Sick of snow, Janet - --- patrick t power wrote: > Janet wrote: > > >>it's kinda like when I shout out "TV light". Also the night he debuted "The Grocer's Broom." One of the best RS shows I've ever seen. Either show. We'll be there for both. After over thirty shows, my Shindell experience will finally be complete. Gene F. Oh, o.k., I admit it, I don't really have any sources. I have people, I know a guy, but I don't have any sources. I made the whole thing up. A woman at the table I was sitting at requested "Lazy" and he said "Give me a minute" then played it. He went on to explain that he just has to teach himself it because, at least at that time, he didnt read music but thaught himself him to play. So if he remembered the words, he could play anything. He also played most of "Somewhere Near Patterson" that night which was previous to the release of that album. I cant wait to hear the new songs. He sounded great at Newport, last time I saw him. - -Adam patrick t power wrote: >Janet wrote: > >>>it's kinda like when I shout out "TV light".
