No idea what he recorded if anything, but "Somewhere Near Patterson" and "Reunion Hill" were both recorded at that studio. Not sure if he was actually recording or mixing, but it was only a short stay so don't expect an album to come out of it. :-) John ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 11 Jan 2003 06:47:59 -0800 (PST) From: Janet Cinelli Subject: Re: [RS] Studio time Maybe he is providing back-up vocals for someone? - --- John Fix 3rd wrote: > Heard from a friend that RS stopped in at the Loft > Studio > (http://www.loftstudio.com/) for some quick > recording about a month ago > (probably around 12/6 when he was in the Westchester > area for the Emelin > Theater shows). In fact when I hear "and if the Tiger comes one night" I think immediately of the line in Roads to Moscow, "three broken Tigers on fire in the night / flicker their souls to the wind " - (I think) -- as I recall, Tigers being either tanks or planes? HELP! AMNESIA!<< German Tanks - er, BIG ONES! (here's a link: http://www.tank-art.com/german_tiger_tanks.htm ) Kinda spooky that anyone would want a painting of one. Correct me here if I am wrong, but one of my brothers was a war buff and the Tiger was the German behemoth vs. the lighter, more agile American Sherman. Anyways, I am the other BIG Al Stewart fan. And as opposed to Lisa I love his "all history album," "Life Between the Wars." But we have discussed this before. Anyone who cares should check the archives. Do make an effort to see Al live if you ever have the chance. He is an enchanting player/storyteller whether you like him or not. You won't be bored. :-) Lisa Norman ________________________________________________ Get your own "800" number Voicemail, fax, email, and a lot more http://www.ureach.com/reg/tag ------------------------------ End of shindell-list-digest V5 #4 *********************************
