I'd like a full Shindell band concert DVD. John Putnam plays his electric like some other instrument, not just an amplified guitar. He creates ambiance. His work on 'You Stay Here' (live at IMAC) was haunting. Lincoln lays down bass lines that work perfectly with Richards singing; I've seen just the two of them play and Lincoln really complements Richard. Lincoln also fits well with Denny, who plays interesting rhythms. They have obviously been playing together for years. Denny does a nice job of integrating traditional drums with a standard kit. His use of mallets is also cool. My wife particularly likes Denny's drumming. Lucy singing harmony on some cuts and a duet with Dar would be nice. How about 'Cold Missouri Waters' with all three... OK, maybe that9s asking a bit too much. - --Bart ------------------------------ End of shindell-list-digest V4 #298 ***********************************
