With her strong voice, it was very good. But I also have the Jon Randall version on his Willin' cd. It is excellent! Jon does a very soulful, haunting version. He seems to have disappeared from the scene, however. Jon was a member of Emmylou's Nash Ramblers, very acoustic band. He put out a couple of solo cd's, but that was it. I thought he was good enough to really take off. I highly recommend this cd, it is still aound in stores and on line. It really is a good fit in the folk genre. I need some help remembering a song. I can't remember the verses, but the chorus goes, "Have you seen her in the moonlight, silver rings upon her hand. Now she wears a band of sorrow, and her name is Maryann." My daughter sang a song at school with a similar tune, something about the River Jordan, and now it's stuck in my head and refuses to leave. I remember it sounding very Peter, Paul and Mary-ish, but I can't find it on any of their albums. I tried a few search engines with no luck. Sound familiar to anyone? You know it wasn't Katie posting the above information because my sentence would have read something like, "This year's performers, beside Little Feat, include Dave Carter & Tracy Grammer, among others." Well, I might not have included the Little Feat part. Or the others part. But the rest of the sentence definitely would have read like that. Of course, if you've never heard Dave & Tracy, an oversight like the above one is somewhat excusable. If you *have* heard D&T, and *still* neglected to include them . . . well, I'll let Ron deal with you. Ciao!
