Kenny White and Lori McKenna will be at Club Passim on May 3 &4 7 & 10pm. Not only have they both opened for Richard, but they've also both recorded with him. Kenny on SNP and Richard sang on Lori's cd. (how's that for a lame attempt to keep it Richard content).... ;-) ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 30 Apr 2002 10:51:25 EDT From: Pfleary@aol.com Subject: [RS] four more days, four more days Took advantage of a sunny spring day off and the need for Richard tickets as an excuse to drive into Berkeley yesterday. Took my pooches to a lovely dog park on the bay and we romped for hours. What I saved in service charges I'm sure I more than made up for in gas costs! Now I'm just counting the days (in cups of wine and the candles I have burned, natch). Holly and I will be going on Saturday night. I know Susan will be there, any other listers planning on going? Also, I am seriously considering making the trek down to Santa Cruz for Richard's big Cinco de Mayo show at the Kuumbwa on Sunday. Is anyone here going? Also, does anyone know if tix are still available. And, more importantly, does anyone here have a ticket they need to get rid of? I'm pretty confident that I will get in even if it's sold out, but the ticket search has to start here of course. I have always been amazed at how over your side of the pond the crowds seem to get very excited (and not only for the chance to see Richard) where as over here things are generally very muted bar the occasional talking at the bar etc.. Moron, pathetic, cretin all seem applicable now Alan, I apologize; I didn't mean to offend, and if it was me in a similar situation, I don't know that I would be so kind. I guess it was just my morning rant. In my rush to be inclusive (must be reading too much Michael Moore!) I may be forgetting that the people who really enjoy Richard's work don't have too many opportunities to see him, and when they do, it is kind of special. No one has the right to ruin their enjoyment of the evening. On the other hand, that is just another part of seeing Richard and might make a decent short story or something. Who knows? Anyway, sorry bout that ): ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 30 Apr 2002 11:42:38 -0700 From: "Katherine Silkey" Subject: RE: [RS] four more days, four more days Peter, I will be at the Friday show, and am very excited, hadn't thought about the Santa Cruz show though, could be a possibility, I noticed it's not listed on their website though or on ticket web, so it may not be sold out. I will probably insist on going after Friday night of course and may even be waiting in line back on Saturday as well. So who's going to yell out for 'The Weather' after getting rowdy on 4 cups of coffee? Katherine, who will be looking for JB as well... - -----Original Message----- From: owner-shindell-list-digest@smoe.org [mailto:owner-shindell-list-digest@smoe.org] On Behalf Of Pfleary@aol.com Sent: Tuesday, April 30, 2002 7:51 AM To: shindell-list@smoe.org Subject: [RS] four more days, four more days Took advantage of a sunny spring day off and the need for Richard tickets as an excuse to drive into Berkeley yesterday.
