I could just read his mind at that moment, thanking God he that he has an unlisted number!! A potentially uncomfortable moment but Richard took it well and told her to speak with him later. Kinda like, "I'm busy right now!" An excellent concert I might add! Janet Yahoo! Anyway, I feel I was a bit hastily dismissive -- that is, obviously the tune is (of course) very beautiful, the singing likewise, but more, it is a very visual song when listened to with proper concentration. I usually find Richard's songs mesmerizing in that way, and as usual, I listen and see the succession of images in my mind and the sad resignation and wisdom in Richard's voice. So many stories. Anyway, I wonder if anyone has asked Richard whether the experience of touring, touching so many and so many different lives, has had an impact on him philosophically (or dare I say "spiritually")? This happens to many of us if our jobs bring us into contact with others. I know that ten years after hearing Richard's songs for the first time, I feel I have learned much from all the clients whose confidences I've heard, whose lives I've been entagneld with, during that time.
