We've been vigorously debating whether it's too soon to go with a 2 year old and a 5 year old. I say the time is now, before the 5 year old catches on to the man behind the curtain thing, and doesn't believe anymore. Others (including my husband) say we should wait at least two more years...so let me know how your experience is, and sorry you're missing the free concert in Boston. I will too. Re: concerts, anyone going to see Richard et al in Ridgefield CT 3/4? It was heinously difficult to get tickets to this one, so I'm hoping it's worthwhile... Johnson" Subject: [RS] V-Day early show Quick notes on the early IH show. (1) I think this was the first full show in which Richard did not play "Are You Happy Now?". Certainly the first wherein he played neither AYHN or Kenworth. (2) I love "I am". (3) "America" as an encore is wonderful. (4) A woman from the balcony asked Richard: "It's clear your spirtuality influences your songs. Please elaborate". Richard's response was "I let my songs do the talking" and then he followed that with stories of his seminary days-- particularly his first sermon in the hospital. (5) His stage presence now is nearly as good as Dar's. He's so funny now. Norman ------------------------------ End of shindell-list-digest V4 #57 **********************************
