And then the other Adam asked: >I saw that crazy guy dancing in the corner near the entrance and wondered >what his deal was. Got any more info on him? To answer both questions with one link: http://www.smither.com/journal.html The above is a photo travel journal from when I was on the road with Chris Smither in Oct '00. One of the places we went to was CSPS in Cedar Rapids (a great little arts centre that had some truly funky art in its gallery - check out the commercialized alphabet exhibit!) and you can see a few pictures from it there. Their website, btw, is http://www.legionarts.org . Also, fyi, Jeffrey Foucault will be opening for Richard at that show, as well (4/11). There is also, on that page, a photo of Chris and the infamous Beetle Bob. I don't really know too much about Beetle except that he's an institution in St. Louis, he sure does like to dance, and he does, indeed, have quite the haircut. Now this show would normally have also been run on friday afternoon at 2pm on wfuv... but this past Friday they were doing fundraising ( i was there answering phones.. as a matter of fact) . I sorta found this by accident surfing around the fuv website and then the Mountain Stage website ( mountainstage.org ). The sunday morning show also features Amy Rigby, Trivis Tritt, Ricky Skaggs-and-Kentucky Thunder... and others.... including the fine host Larry Groce. anyway... I will try to get up to tape it. Sorry that I did not post this sooner... but perhaps you all know all about it already. I am a bit behind in my Richardlist reading. Go to the Mountain Stage website to see where this show may turn up in the city that you live in... some of you will still have a chance to hear it. And they will rerun it eventually ( or is this a rerun... I could not tell from the website - but I thought it was a new one). OK... I am listening to Pete Fornatel talk with the most excelent Carole king... be still my heart. He has a great show... but it's not on at the best time... saturday night... OK... I think I'll sit at home and listen to the radio. bye... Now I suppose that's not good news for most of you guys, but yeah, finally a Europe-friendly broadcast! noon to 2 pm, perfect Sunday thing to do. Thanks for the heads up! Talking about Europe - who of the UK contingent will be at the London Peter Mulvey / Chris Smither show in early March? I know Dave and Kay will, so will I - anybody else?
