He lived in IL at the time. Evanston (just north of Chicago) to be precise. For the past couple of years, though, he's been living in Portland, OR. Andrew is the subject of the song "King of Chicago" on Hugh Blumenfeld's latest CD. There's a bit about Andrew's living room being a popular crash pad for touring musicians. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 5 Feb 2002 14:00:40 EST From: LBECKLAW@aol.com Subject: [RS] Re: Whither J. Foucault? Ok, Ok, you've all convinced me that this Jeff Foucault guy is worth checking into (although I'm not buying the "back seat to Richard S" heresy spoken here). But...Barnes & Noble doesn't even have him listed on their computers as a performer. Yes, I did spell his name correctly, or at least I provided the spelling given on this same list (which you'll remember was once hailed as the "Brainiest" online list). But no luck...is this one of those obscure, esoteric albums I need to get from England or something? I thought he was from Wisconsin. Any advise would be welcomed. Re: another piece of advice issued here, I did buy Eva Cassidy "Songbird" and wow! You're right. Especially about "Fields of Gold." I should probably admit now that I prefer shopping for albums and other merchandise off line, the old-fashioned way, as in at a real storefront. This may prove indefensible if I keep having to deal with surly teens at B&N who claim Jeff Foucault does not exist, but Paul Foucault does. !@#$*$#?? I was a subscriber for a few years when it was a CD subscription. But it goes back to the early 1980s with 33rpm LPs. For some after it folded, the LPs and CDs were for sale. In the end everything was sold/given to the Smithsonian... I have maybe a dozen treasured CDs from that time. john alvord ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 06 Feb 2002 01:48:49 -0500 From: Vanessa Christina Wills Subject: Re: [RS] Foucault, Jeffrey $*#(&%*#($@()#&_@*^#@%$#*$&#*(^%#*&Q$ What's all this, then?
