REK last played the Iron Horse in '95. > I read an interview with REK a while back where he had expressed an interest in playing some smaller venues where he could play some more of his "quieter stuff"- more like his first live album. So maybe that's what he's doing. I got gravitational forces for Christmas, and I'm not as immediately thrilled with it as I have been some of his stuff. (Do love the Townes and Cash covers though!) It's gotten pretty good reviews though, so I plan to give it a few more listens before coming to any concrete conclusions. (And even those, like concrete, can sometimes be shattered!) Now here's one for ya- what REK song would you like to hear RS cover? (Not counting SOG or Sonora, which although not written by him, many first heard REK do and associate with him.) My first thought was " I would change my life." Or maybe Mariano. Although it would be a hoot to hear him do the Armadillo Jackal song.. "the armadillo-ooooooooo-ooooooo-ooooo....
