I really would love to go as it's near my birthday and I've never gotten to see Richard do more solo than a set at a festival. We're planning to go to the State Theatre on the 1st but this would be very special to me. We can't stay for the evening show (which they've just added) because it's too far to drive on a work night. If anyone happens to have two extra tickets for the 3 p.m. show (yeah, right), PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE back-channel me! Tom, here's my 2 cents : There is a song Everytime You Say Goodbye...It's a classic. I love the Betty Carter/Ray Charles version. There's a line in it "...but how strange the change from major to minor..." where the late betty Carter actually sings that chord change...YUM...and most edifying to a non-musician like myself. My late (boy) friend, Brian Keenan, was a very talented drummer for a band called The Chambers Brothers and he used to explain things quite simply to me. He told me I'd find minor chords where there was music with a sadder feeling...that major chords were more upbeat or brighter. BTW...I am so very psyched to have tickets to see Richard in Ridgefield, CTon Monday, March 4th w/Joan Baez ....after I will have experienced him in house concert the day before!!! :) :) :) Has anyone any report on Richard & his family's welfare or experience of the current unrest inArgentina? Richard, if you are reading this...please know you & yours are in my thoughts and prayers for safety and peace.
