I missed seeing him there a LOT this summer. I'm home for the holidays (and there's no place like it) in southwestern Ohio, and I was driving to a store yesterday taking the back way around a lot of fields and warehouses, and passed a sign that said "RS Transportation - Trucking." It felt like I was visited! - --Sally sallyagreen@hotmail.com http://members.tripod.com/sagreen ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 24 Dec 2001 15:10:05 EST From: L8NiteBluz@aol.com Subject: [RS] Re: My few disappointments not withstanding, I would still rather listen to RS on an off day than many other people on their best day.... Having said that, to elaborate on my "critique" (not that I am really qualified to critique Richard) of Kenworth, Summer Wind, and Arrowhead.... 1.) Kenworth, being my least favorite RS tune, my "always skip" song, I would have preferred it be replaced on Courier with another tune that I like better and would be less likely to skip....Wisteria perhaps. 2.) Arrowhead: Not that I dislike the "clappity-clap" version on Courier, I love the song. I think what I'm trying to say is, if this had been the first version I had heard of this song I don't think it would have hit me as hard as the studio version does. The heavy percussion seems to draw my attention away from the lyric...thats just me. A great song no matter how ya slice it! 3.) Summer Wind, Cotton Dress: This is a puzzler. This is a great tune, one of my favorites, but the Courier version rubs me the wrong way.....there is just something about it that.......something seems ....missing. Maybe dull and lifeless wasn't the right way to put it, but there is SOMETHING missing for me here?????? Oh well, as I said, even a disappointing RS tune is better than most... Happy Holidays!!
