On the dates with Joan Baez, who is headlining? (no stones being thrown at Joan here). >> It's definitely Joan's headline show. From what I've been told, Richard is opening (45 min. set or something like that), with Dave/Tracy serving as Joan's "back-up" band, although I'm sure they'll get some "duo-only" exposure, too. I'm sorry to post twice in one night, I'm usually a lurker but I somehow managed to download the song, "I Am"!! I don't know how the heck I did it, my computer is so ancient, I didn't think it had the capability to do it. I am so computer illiterate, so I'm very proud of myself! But enough about me! THe song is very soothing, it really is. It is helping me to remember that awful day without the panic attack that comes with it. I think I went into a little bit of shock when I saw the smoke from my office in nearby Long Island and hearing my husband's panicked voice begging me to come home right away, worrying about my daughter at college in Pennslyvania and seeing the sign on the LIE saying that Manhattan was closed. This is a very calming song and I really, really like it. So, no controversy from me!! And I am grateful to have this list to share things with. Thanks everyone. Feeling really peaceful, Janet Yahoo! Get Winamp -- it may even be bundled with your machine or browser. One way to find out is go find the MP3 file in whatever directory you put it in, and click on it. If you hve something to play it with on the computer, it will play! And no you don't need a special MP3 player or anything! Hmm...could that be because my one perfect cd is not a RS or Dave & Tracey cd? Conspiracy theorists...grist for you mill. Could it be that I am the one who doesn't have 10 Desert Island Disks, but 10 Desert Island Box Sets? Hmmm... ONE perfect cd: Richard & Linda Thompson's "Shoot Out the Lights" Great, great, great songwriting, jawdropping guitar work from Richard, Linda's peerless singing, AND my favorite song of all time: "Just the Motion" cause under the ocean at the bottom of the sea you can't hear the storm it's as peaceful as can be it''s just the motion Sigh. They play that one in the afterlife I am tellin' ya.
