I remember Crawdaddy I always liked the newspaper format "Gig" magazine from the mid-or late seventies too, but it didn't last long. But where this was going was to one of my other favorite record reviews,and I believe it was from Crawdaddy but I could be wrong: "Eric Clapton: No Reason to Cry." The review was "No
reason to record, either."

Hi all,

I'm not sure who out there is NOT going to Falcon Ridge but was instead
hoping to see Richard tomorrow (Fri, 7/27) at Backstage at the Mountainside
in Pt.Pleasant, PA - but the show has been cancelled by the venue.

The venue's publicist said the management called everyone with advance
reservations to notify them.  Here's the number: 215-297-9300.

Pretty funny.  Here's the other one I liked, a review of Joe Walsh's album "So What."  It simply said, "No artist this inconsequential should risk an album title like this."

Now if we could just get Richard to plug a voice box into his guitar and 
unbutton his shirt a little bit more.........

But cereally, *I* still don't see what's wrong with "Are You Happy Now?".   
How many people here WOULDN'T be here if they hadn't caught that song on the 
radio or on Christine Lavin's "When October Goes".....   Let me see the 
hands.....    I THOUGHT so.

It's the song that leads people to Shindell land -- and besides the rabid 
cult here -- it's the song people most want to hear at one of his shows.

*I* enjoy the irony of a light peppy tune leading the masses to the dark 
night of the soul that is the Richard Shindell experience......

One more thought. If Richard's going to go 70s, why not go all the way and
