Any news on the title, songs, > etc? A quick reply - The Live Album is coming along wonderfully. A little bit of mixing and a few tweaks still to go... everything should be done by late July. Official release will be in late January or early Feb, but we will have it for sale to the list before Christmas. I'll have a full report in the next ten days (if someone will remind me), and the way-cool East Coast Tour in early '02.... Still finishing up from Fred eaglesmith Weekend in Bellows Falls, VT that I put on this past weekend (691 paid admissions and three great concerts! Yow!) - - Charlie ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 14 Jun 2001 09:47:23 EDT From: Loracevoll@aol.com Subject: [RS] Re: Live album update? From: "Norman A. Kickball. {{{{shudder}}} I moved from a really crummy public school to parochial school in third grade and I was the only kid who didn't know the rules of kickball. Naturally, they made me third baseman. When they threw me the ball -- I ducked. Oh yeah. THAT was a fun year....... ......Carol ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 14 Jun 2001 08:34:45 -0700 (PDT) From: Deb Woodell Subject: [RS] Vacation See you all when I get back. From the writings of Mr. Hunter and Dr. Babosa it sounds like a great time was had by all. We played it on the street and yes, we looked for the caps with cork. Some of the older kids use to dig the cork out and melt wax in there instead. I guess I"m dating myself too! I can't remember the rules but we had alot of fun. Ow, those scraped knees hurt! Idle ramblings here, everyday I'm reminded of 3 RS songs on my way home from work, crawling on the Long Island Expressway (aka HELL)! I pass a Best Western and a big Kenworth sign. And of course, I'm sitting in traffic humming "Transit"! We were actually forced to play it in the gym during junior high in a co-ed gym class. Talk about torture and fear! I had glasses and you know they aimed right for them. I was beaned in the head more than once. I don't think they are allowed to play that anymore. (Great for kids today, but what about MY emotional scars?) Candy ps Dodge Ball - divide up the group in two and put on opposite sides of gym. Give kids 10 to 15 balls (red rubber kind) and tell them every kid they hit is out and the side that gets rid of all the kids wins. ------------------------------ End of shindell-list-digest V3 #195 ***********************************
