Witnessed the first ever performance a couple of weeks ago, back then he wasn't sure if it was going to be a breakup or a start new song. That song is definitely a keeper. Did he play Speed of Trees? I love that song, it's pretty new, too. Anybody who sees him play that live in the next few months pleeeease tell him to put it on the new album. Maybe a collective effort can convince him that that one is a keeper, too. :) have a great weekend, guys, back to our regularly scheduled program now, Katrin ____________________________________________ the truest heart you'll ever find is in your pocket Don Conoscenti ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 19 May 2001 06:37:51 EDT From: RockinRonD@aol.com Subject: [RS] Don't Cry For Me... Must he have rice and beans with every meal? Is his libation of choice now Rioja? Can he get Cubans in Buenos Aires and would he be willing to smuggle some stateside for his ol' buddy RockinRonD? Stay tuned. RamblinRon ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 19 May 2001 19:24:35 EDT From: AugustLeo1953@aol.com Subject: [RS] New Poster . . . Have never seen Richard but will some day. Just heard him sing "Transit"on Mountain Stage. Hard to pick a favorite but that's right up there. I don't live but about and hour and a half from Paterson so I am very in tune with that kind of traffic! First time I heard Transit I was in rush hour traffic on my way home from work and I stopped to buy the CD before I ever made it home that night. As still a Richard neophyte, having seen him only once, as part of Cry3, I liked that he explained the older songs a bit. You learn something new every day. Deb ===== You can take the rock band away from the girl and think you've tamed her. But, she'll just pick up an acoustic, give you that innocent little girl grin, quietly laugh and say? "Nevah!" You are right, that is a keeper. Ellis did not play "Angel in Manhattan" but he did play "Conversation with a Ghost", "Did Galieo Pray?" (now that's sort of Shindellian-- with the story of the librarian and Gaileo's own book), "Last Call" (encore), "Never Lived at All", "Paris in a Day", "The World Ain't slowing down" (with story of the stolen cell phone), among others. Poor Richard, he's been in the shadow of Ellis Paul this weekend on his own list.
