What's the thing about requesting "Free Bird"? Why did that get > started? It's common at lots of artist's shows, not unique to Richard. I guess just because what Ron said. Now pretty old and predictable. Maybe Richard sat cause he was saving his energy for his sister's party. :) Hey Susan - can't make the Knopfler show. But will you be going to Dave and Tracy? Was very disappointed that Nickel Creek was sold out - gotta quit taking this place for granted and buy tix sooner!! I think I'll be way too exhausted for music that night! I am thinking about Willis Alan Ramsay on 5/23 & Cliff Eberhardt on 6/20 though. And my set list is wrong - the Peter Rowan song is "Hobo's Song" not "Lost in the Rain". susan Tricia asks: Hey Susan - can't make the Knopfler show. But will you be going to Dave and Tracy? Dar never played at the White House for cap'n Bill, did she? << Ed, I didn't mean it to be political. I just wanted to say that I think Dar forgetting Richard and Lucy is about as unlikely as her playing for W. I don't think Dar ever played the White House for the Clintons. Being around one's family takes quite a bit of energy, regardless of the dynamic. I think of all the family weddings I have traveled to and if I had to be performing a couple of night's before with family members in the audience, I would find it very stressful. In spite of that I think Richard played a fine show and was basically enjoying himself. I also had the opportunity to meet the oh so cool fellow list-member Reed. Also, for all you Nickel Creek fans who were unable to get tickets for the upcoming Freight show might want to know that they will be playing on Sunday, July 1 at the Kate Wolf Fest in Laytonville. Also scheduled to be there are Lucy K, Arlo Guthrie, Nina Gerber, Stacey Earle, Iris Dement, Utah Phillips, Rosalie Sorrels (www.monitor.net/kate) Peter ------------------------------ End of shindell-list-digest V3 #159 ***********************************
