Sometimes he sings higher, true enough, but I *know* he is a baritone because I can more or less sing along (except for now, with a cold) and I'm an alto. For someone like James Taylor, I just can't. Maybe inbetween. Because I can sing along but tend to try harmony instead, badly. I think he's closer to a tenor since he (allegedly) quit smoking! But I suppose the real test is which of you baritones can sing along!
