Their top two are SNP and B.B. King's "Makin' Love Is Good for You." Anyway, one of my NY resolutions that I think I can actually keep is to listen to cds I have that I have not listened to in a while. World Cafe yesterday had Geoff Muldaur on and he did a great set. Well, a year or two ago, there was a spare copy of his previous cd, "The Secret Handshake," lying around the office and I took it, and if I listened at all, it was with a million things going on around the house. So just now, I listened again. What a great cd. Great blend of styles, messages, moods! So, c'mon, you all know you are guilty, too. So how about adding this to your NY resolutions...dust off those cds you forgot about, or maybe were in the wrong mood to listen to. You never know what undiscovered treasures you might, um, discover. Take care, Deb Yahoo! I did that over new year's. I like to think I don't really have lots of CDs, especially since I sold many last year, but when I look through them and see how many I haven't listened to in ages... some of them I rediscovered over the weekend, with some of them I wondered why I bought them in the first place. Pat, > It wasn't a resolution for me, but after receiving the CD for Christmas > (I have the LP), I've been listening to Pete Townshend's "All The Best > Cowboys Have Chinese Eyes" -- "Slit Skirts" remains one of my all-time > favorite songs! Pete Townsend, yeah.... he used to be one of the most played artists on my record player (yes!) when I was a teenager. White City! It's so sad I don't have a record player any more, I haven't listened to this stuff in ages. I should get some of it on CD. But, you know how it goes, so much good music, so little money :) Talking about New Year's Resolutions: mine is to finally take guitar lessons. Are you happy now, RonG? :-) Katrin - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- i do it for the joy it brings because i'm a joyful girl because the world owes me nothing and we owe each other the world ani difranco ------------------------------ End of shindell-list-digest V3 #2 *********************************
