How has she dealt with jealousy and pettiness directed toward her in the music business? She once spoke of how "there are a lot of mean-spirited people doing good deeds" in the industry. I'd like to know what she's encountered and how she's dealt with it. But then that's more about her, not her music. Oh well. "Gigs From Hell" was always my favorite part of _Performing Songwriter_ magazine. :-) Actual Richard content! Well, sort of. It's actually about me, in that I've been listening to "Fishing" a lot lately...I have a friend who is a brilliant writer, funny, charismatic, sensitive, has a charming British accent, and has an INS interview in two weeks. She's also unemployed and has been arrested (for nonviolent demonstration), and there is an unfortunate likelihood that she will not be granted citizenship because of this. It's *so* unfair. One can only hope she gets an agent who is at least half human... Shoutin' out to my former dar-list buddies... ~Bonnianne Where am I going, and why am I in this handbasket? ------------------------------ End of shindell-list-digest V2 #295 ***********************************
