My friend, a physics professor sent it to me. Enjoy!! You know, I think it will make us all appreciate and respect Dar/Lucy and richard EVEN MORE than we already do! Don't forget about "Shades of Black, Shades of Blue" which was released after SNP. This was an outtake from the album. Perhaps there are more outtakes lying around!!! Also, I've heard that Richard *may* be contributing to Charles Lyonhart's new album. It's due out later this year, so we'll know for sure soon. Well, a song like that makes a great acroymn, especially for a founding partner of Cry, cry, cry. >> This was an outtake from the album. Davis" Subject: [RS] Dar Williams at Toad's Place in New Haven It was great for someone my age to see all the college kids so excited to hear Dar and singing along so passionately to "Iowa." Dar was excited too by the end of the show, standing ovations, wild applause and calls for more. The place was more or less packed with an "all ages" crowd. I was glad to see Toad's return to music worth listening to and not just endless disco dance parties! Toad's is a pain, though, very few seats, lots of endless standing and hopelessly late show starts. Dar played 10:30 to 12:30 or so, following Catie Curtis at 9:00. Great stuff; I could hear Richard's "Calling the Moon" as a kind of silent harmony as Dar did her version. I hereby abandon any skepticism about Dar deliberately pitching to a certain age group and applaud her for "saving" music for a generation! And I do so enjoy her complex lyrics, which drew me to her songs from the beginning. Worthy of Richard's early stuff! :) lisa ------------------------------ Date: 21 Sep 2000 07:36 GMT From: Katrin.Uhl@t-online.de Subject: Re: [RS] SOBSOB > That song, along with "Howling at Trouble," you have never heard him play Howling at the Trouble? Oh my, that's one of my favorites, I was hoping to hear that one live one of these days... hm... can the man be bribed? :-) Katrin ------------------------------ End of shindell-list-digest V2 #266 ***********************************
