( Mon.) Hey All: The folks at FUV ( in New York) are rebroadcasting the interview with Richard they did a few months (?) back... includes some live songs with Larry Campell and the boys ( as I recall). And the always charming John Platt doing the interview. It's on at 8pm tonight. WWW.WFUV.ORG . And hey... all day tomorrow the folks at FUV will be playing Richard as their featured artist! It's at 90.7 fm in the NYC area if you live in the NYC area. You folks that are going to see Richard at The Turning Point ( www.turningpointcafe.com) ought to get together. I'd feel jealous - but I'm gonning to Falcon Ridge so - HA! I have tips concerning The Turning Point ( a great club). Anybody want to hear them? Sorry I posted this late... but if you're on-line it might reach you just in time to hear the Richard interview. See Ya... Davis" Subject: [RS] shirts, pins, hats, blah, blah, Folks, we grow weary (I say this having put in my two cents too). Let's adopt richard's mode of shirt instead. Plain black. (oh dear, that has its own problems.) Or drab olive as the case may be. :) or how about hot pink. :) anyway i was quite amused because I am on a French list, and 3500 miles away they are talking about HATS while we are discussing shirts and pins! Whence this passion for uniforms, anyway? up anarchy! down with uniformity! Although someone suggested multicolored jester's caps with bells! Now *that* would make a statement! :) :) : Does anyone know how richard feels about having left behind Valhalla and his tomatoes? What do you garden in Argentina? Is it winter there? How can he be back so soon? Will jet-lag songs replace driving songs? lisa ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 17 Jul 2000 23:40:47 EDT From: Owage@aol.com Subject: [RS] Carson City, NV Concert 7/13 I just wanted to let everyone know how disappointed I was Thursday, July 13th when Richard appeared in Carson City, Nevada. He was OUTSTANDING, as usual, but some people who attended insisted on rudely walking out while Richard was beginning a new song. This started a "chain of fools" passing right in front of him and, alas, he ended the concert a bit earlier than I believe he would have. I wanted Richard to continue, as I know many around me did, and it sure was a shame when he only came out to sing one more song. "Reunion Hill" and "Wisteria" were so awesome that night, in addition to the other songs he sang, but I truly felt sad that he ended as quick as he did. But really, who could blame him??? I only hope that Richard realizes his true fans were in awe of his performance and can forget about the rudeness..... ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 18 Jul 2000 00:45:24 EDT From: Tricia9999@aol.com Subject: Re: [RS] Carson City, NV Concert 7/13 In a message dated 07/17/2000 8:54:38 PM Pacific Daylight Time, Owage@aol.com writes: > He was OUTSTANDING, as usual, > but some people who attended insisted on rudely walking out while Richard > was beginning a new song. I have been to 2 concerts (outdoors) in the past week and the insensitivity of people astounds me. (One of the reasons I don't go to movies anymore.) It's certainly a shame that RS and the crowd had to put up with this, but it seems to be common, and it's very sad. Did I mention the cell phone that rang in the play I attended recently...? Tricia P.S. Richard singing Confession in Silicon Valley = irony. Nice to meet a couple of other listers there. ------------------------------ End of shindell-list-digest V2 #163 ***********************************
