So maybe it is indeed appropos as Charlie suggested in his last post. This way, when we wear it, non Shindell List fans of RS who are equally "touchy as hell" will covet the shirt and consequently become List members. Ditto for ordinary people who may never have heard of Richard Shindell, but may want to join a group who are likewise "touchy as hell." Works for me. It was on the cover of the Palo Alto Weekly, a free local newspaper (that says 50 cents). Both the cover and the article can be seen/read on their website: http://www.paweekly.com/ Teresa ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 09 Jul 2000 14:24:12 -0700 From: katie stohlmann Subject: [RS] More newspaper mentions Speaking of newspaper articles, Richard's show in Sebastopol is mentioned with a brief article in this Sunday's "On Q" section of the Santa Rosa Press Democrat. Hopefully the advertisement will push us over the top for ticket sales. I heard this rumour that if you make it in the PD, you do just fine. Oh and to Peter and anyone else who cares, I keep forgetting to ask about whether or not Richard will show up on KRCB in some capacity. It's been a weird weird week. I've been too busy worrying about making labels and moving into the local Kinkos. Don't ask, it's not that interesting. :) see ya, katie http://userwww.sfsu.edu/~stohlman ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 09 Jul 2000 21:35:13 -0400 From: "Norman A. That'd make a lovely, simple cloisonne pin ... I'm thinking either in sky blue or very rich and dark. >> I like!!! I vote for a rich dark blue (almost black to fit Richard's choice of style). And, in keeping with the "Confession" theme, I'll reiterate my original suggestion: "Something more discreet". I see that Richard is playing the Iron Horse on the 5th of August. Right after his birthday and also the 51th anniversary of Mann Gulch. Norman ------------------------------ End of shindell-list-digest V2 #153 ***********************************
