You have to capo on 7 but it sounds pretty damned close to the DADGAD tuning. The only difficulty is singing the song in this octave. But it's much easier to execute hammers and pull-off's ala Richard. If you want the chords E-Mail me privately and I'll forward them to you. Happy picking... Fishing - without the "now that you know whose skin you're saving" verse (and no Elian Gonzalez reference either) You Stay Here Reunion Hill - a very slow, poignant, almost haunting version that blew me away, similar he said afterwards to the Out Beyond The Iron Gate on the sampler.... Also told the Joan Baez story afterwards. Arrowhead - changed "mascot of the 9th brigade" to 3rd brigade Lucy joined him onstage for this one. Also omitted the "ive been running now, a week or two" verse at the end. Shades of Grey - with Lucy, fantastic. Im still not sure that even with a warning by both artists to listen to the last line, that most people "get it" Are You Happy Now - Lucy harmonizing again. Complete with the story behind it. Then Lucy took the stage for her set after the break. She broke a string 3 songs into her set, and Richard chivalrously came out from behind the curtain and handed her his guitar, and took hers backstage to restring it. He joined her later in her set for: 10 Year Night You Have Come By Way of Sorrow Mary Magdalene - RS playing, LK singing, and the story afterwards of how that came about the first time at the show in Long Island. (and no Easter reference!) E: Love Hurts by Hugh Blumenfeld. A powerful, touching, and fun show. Standing room only. Hadnt seen RS since the Cry3 finale, and didn't realize that this was the first time since then that he and Lucy had played together. Richard mentioned he enjoyed the new Woody Allen film, apparently Sean Penn is great in it. Anyway - wnated to get this out before heading off to partake in family visiting responsibilities. It was actually penned by the husband and wife songwriting team of Felice and Boudleaux Bryant (who also wrote "Bye Bye Love," "All I Have to do is Dream" and "Wake Up Little Susie"), and the definitive version is the Gram Parsons/Emmylou Harris duet on GP's final album, "Grievous Angel." Great review, though, and I'm looking forward to seeing Richard play (first time with a band) this Thursday at the Bottom Line. I play Wisteria alot and have played it at a few coffee house things. I think Richard's DADGAD songs kick butt and I think I have to buy a new guitar since my favorite guitar (Taylor 512) is always in this tuning!
