No flaming, no spamming, etc. Seriously though, can't believe the Globe said she was one of the worst dressed... I loved the black dress. It seemed to be a majority opinion as well. I also liked her peace necklace...it was a nice quiet way to make her statement. And at least she didn't embarrass herself by using the word "agreeance" (heh). ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 26 Feb 2003 23:05:11 EST From: XMystery79@aol.com Subject: Re: [sheryl-crew] norah bloody jones In a message dated 2/24/2003 1:00:14 PM Eastern Standard Time, soullove@ca2.so-net.ne.jp writes: > Although I understand what you're saying - I felt almost the same the first > time I listened to it except Don't Know Why - if you listen carefully over > and over how she sings, I bet you understand her true talent. I hardly ever listen to the radio or watch videos so I haven't been overexposed to "Don't know Why" (which might also explain my soft spot for Avril Lavigne) the single. I like it. She seems to have a really nice voice. Honestly though my first impresssion of her was that she was a Alicia Keys clone. If some one is going to win a ton of Grammy's I'd rather it be someone who seems to appreciate it, someone who's talented, and someone who's relatively humble and not hung up on themselves. She seems to fit that bill. Ok now a slightly off topic for Brits: What is the history/meaning behind the phrase "Oh bloody Hell?" Or use of Bloody in general. It seems like bloody is used much in the same way people in the U.S. use the "f" word as an adjective. ------------------------------ End of sheryl-crew-digest V6 #36 ********************************
