Due for release in the first half of 2003, it includes vocals from the now-departed Christine McVie and a guest apparance by Sheryl Crow. - --- I read on the website of Mick Fleetwood that there will also be a U.S. tour and a world tour this year. So here is my idea: It takes place in a hotel and a bar. When Kid Rock starts singing the song, he should be sitting in a bar, with a beer in front of him, a cigarette in hand, he looks somewhat miserable,(you know like he's thinking about how he made a mistake of letting that special someone go). And then when the backing vocals come up doing "ooh, ooh", the camera goes away from the bar & shows the front of the hotel, then as the "ooh, ooh's" are over a lamp comes on (which Sheryl leans over to cut on), & Sheryl starts singing. She is laying in bed next to a guy, but you don't see him, all you see is his back, because he is asleep. She also looks a bit miserable. Throughout the whole video, there are clips of Kid & Sheryl doing the song in the studio. One of the most important shots in the song should be in the studio on the line "I was headed for church,...I was off to drink you away.." (because thats the dramatic climax of the song). When the instrumental break in the song comes, they should show Twisted Brown Trucker in the bar playing it (kinda like a bar band). The bar and hotel scenes take place at night. The whole video is shots in the studio & Kid in the bar singing, & Sheryl in the hotel singing. I don't think it's been mentioned here, but in the merchandise section, the shirt Sheryl wore on Good Morning America (I don't believe in your war, Mr. Bush) is available for purchase. I personally think it's somewhat tacky. I understand her motives, but as I've stated on the forum that her concern seems less about wanting peace and more about her hating President Bush. She doesn't do a good job of hiding that fact. Just wondering what's going on with the profits made from the shirt as well... ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 23 Jan 2003 23:43:26 EST From: XMystery79@aol.com Subject: [sheryl-crew] TV reminder: Leno w/ Kid Rock Friday evening Just a reminder, tommorow night, Friday Jan 24, Sheryl is appearing on Leno with Kid Rock to perform "Picture". Basic info: Sheryl performing during second intermission on ABC Sunday Feb 2nd. Game starts at 2:30. I'm thinking based on my limited hockey knowledge Sheryl would be performing around 4. I do not have a problem with them selling the "I don't believe..." shirts in the merchandise section of the webpage. I personally agree with the fact that war is not the answer and we should not go to war with Iraq, but I am not going to buy one of the shirts either. However, I feel that those who want to have the right and they should be available. If you want one great, if not great. The money should go to a charity or something but we do not know where it is going so we may never know. I guess it could be just me being naive but I do not feel that the only reason Sheryl is opposed to this war is that she hates Bush and/or she is a democrat. I could be wrong, who knows...but the point is is that the very reason that many wars are fought or said to be fought is to protect the freedoms we have here in America, and one of those wonderful freedoms is the freedom to believe and feel however you choose. Therefore, I see nothing wrong with Sheryl's stance, the selling of the shirts, or the fact that many people do not agree with either of the two. These are the very things that make America great! Plus, regardless of Sheryl's political beliefs and reasoning, she is still an incredible musician. She is not a politician so her stance does not really matter, I respect her for voicing her opinion and I think it is great that some of our greatest known musicians (Dylan, Lennon, Baez etc etc etc) have done the same thing. These people have taken a stand, knowing that some will agree and some will disagree and that it could be a threat to a career, but they have done so anyway. I personally think that people put too much basis on someone's political beliefs, it has become such a form of division in this country, it is sickening!!! Who cares that you might have a friend who thinks differently about politics than you or that a musician you admire does!?! These people who claim to be friends of someone or fans of an artist etc and the minute they disagree politically they turn away and disregard all respect they have for someone are completely messed up in my mind! One thing this country has always strived for is pride in diversity, whether it be race, gender, sexuality, etc...and politics is one of those things in my mind. I respect a person for who they are not for their color, gender, sexuality, and especially not their politics. I may disagree, but that is what is so great...we have the right to do that. Wow, I didn't mean to write an essay. lol I guess my held up forum troll frustration all came out. lol Cheers Amanda =) - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Tired of spam?
