I saw it and thought it was a pretty good piece overall. To me it was kind of like a kids book as opposed to an indepth biography, a nice intro to Sheryl Crow if you will. What I mean is, we all know a lot of Sheryl's "story" and the 60 mins piece, mostly by necessity was a very basic over view. I was glad they didn't choose to go in depth over the TNMC story...they also didn't mention her battles with depression or anything dealing with the sexual harrasment she dealt with (also wasn't there one point where she admitted she was drinking too heavily in the early 90s). It was a piece that was meant to be pretty flattering and it was. I was pretty impressed with the way she came across...very down to earth, good sense of humor, loves animals and her work. I personally think that when she agreed to do Big Brother 3, CBS agreed to do a piece on her...you scratch our back, we'll scratch yours. Good exposure for her in both cases. Awesome house...nice car, and next to all of those 60 minutes anchors she looked pretty darn young. :) ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 13 Jan 2003 17:18:56 -0500 From: xmystery79@aol.com Subject: [none] From: "John D. It's from a benefit concert called "Pavarotti and Friends for War Child", for children's war relief in the Balkans. There is a VHS video tape and a CD of the performances; you can sometimes find a copy of either on eBay. She did a very good interview; I thought that it was exactly the point of view that was missing from the Buskin biography that was published last summer. I watched (and taped) the show on the local CBS affiliate over broadcast (that is, not cable), as our cable provider intermittent signal problems. I noticed digital artifacts at several points during the show. They appeared as a blocky dissolve (where there was no dissolve in the show), and a pause of 2-3 seconds in the audio track. There were maybe five instances in the show. Anyone else notice these?
